all the light unshed ✧ word count - 1,976 CW: Heavy-ish subject matter, discussion of death and trauma — - A SWC writing competition entry! Here's the less formatted forum version: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/496757/?page=1#post-5029506 Alright, here comes the usual description-that-turns-into-a-long-rant :D A bit overdue, isn't it? hehe. This was frustrating *yayy* - the result of nearly two weeks of nerve-wracking pondering, a lot of procrastination, and at least three days of 1 AM ramblings ehehe ^^' (It's 12:43 as I'm typing this oops don't mind me xD) It was mostly just panic that I wouldn't get this done to be honest - but still! I put off the main stuff until today (well, yesterday hehe) - pretty much 3/4 of the thing today while having "worked" on it the entire month xD Still, we're very proud of me for not waiting until the last day to submit - at least, I'm very proud of me. And honestly, that's the only thing I'm truly proud about concerning this. The themes are... not very interesting ehehe, pretty much the same stuff I always write about xD It was originally quite different: I had this cool Sci-Fi idea planned out but it didn't really work out hehe so now we have this... sad-ish Dystopian short story! Yeah, I hate this. I don't know what this came across as but I was going for a kind of post-apocalyptic story hehe. There are many, many places I took inspiration from (especially for some of the lines!) but you might have guessed that I'm kind of tired and sleep-deprived ahaha - I can't remember oops but thank you anyway <3 Despite my doubts, I hope you enjoy hehe ^^ If you read it, please leave a comment - I would love to know what you thought :D And please be honest aaa there's no way your opinion on this could be worse than mine xD And of course; thank you to everyone who has inspired me to keep writing - and much gratitude to everyone who looked over this for me hehe, you guys are amazing <333 (Wow that was actually a much shorter rant than I anticipated eep hehe) Okayy I've been fretting about sharing this for about twenty-four hours now - time to rip off the bandage :0 — - Credits: - Music | "As Long As You Don't Forget Me" by Dan Thiessen (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbvJJyLzUhM) - Thumbnail | made on Canva - Font | "Muli" — -
