I seriously hurt the airbrush here and the shading looks soooo bad but I want to say a couple things. ========================================= So I’ve been hearing a lot about “Superstraights” recently and feel free to attack me in the comments if you’re gonna be that kind of person but I just need to talk about this. So these people are; A. Making up a whole sexuality for people who refuse to date trans people B. Getting angry when other people try to explain to them why it is offensive (not everyone but most people) C. Saying they are more than Straight for having a preference And I have a couple more things to say I can’t just say in one sentence, so let’s get into this. So these people are making up their own sexuality saying it’s okay because us LGBTQ+ People have plenty of terms to identify ourselves, so why can’t they have their own and claim to be part of the LGBTQ+? Well, as a person who identifies as Gender Neutral, I find this a bit offensive. Maybe more than I should, but these people keep saying it’s a preference, which is okay, I’m bi and have a preference for women like it’s perfectly fine, but to make up an entire sexuality just to say, “oh we don’t want to date a trans person we only want cis people” is kind of mean. Plus you’re not more than straight for having a preference, like I’m not lesbian because I like girls more. Also trans women are real women, trans men are real men, and my wonderful non-binary friends (and others) are valid. This Superstraight movement is both being very unfair to trans people but also supports racism (in one of the versions of their “flag”). I’m just quite disgusted by this, please stop it. It is harming people. I’m sorry for bringing this onto Scratch, but I haven’t seen anyone talk about it and something needs to be said.
