“Run away?” Swift cried. “But our whole life is here!” Strike frowned at Swift. “If you remember,” Strike murmured. “We move islands every few days. We don’t actually have a home we can call our own. Flash narrowed his eyes at Swift. Why couldn’t she EVER just LISTEN to her siblings? “Little Swift,” Flash began. “I’m not little!” Swift roars. Now that was strange. Swift never ever raised her voice above a murmur. “I’m going to tell mother and father about this,” Swift hissed. “And you two will never be alone again.” Swift whirles around in a flurry of feathers and scales, and started to run. “Swift! Come back!” Flash roars. He spreads his wings and flaps them, trying to fly. He gives up. It’s useless, he thinks, to try and fly. He charges after Swift, Strike close behind him. “We have to stop her,” Strike gasps. “If this fails, we will never have another chance. (Next chapter: Coming soon!)
