Draw something, and then click the green flag to listen to it! Click the tabs on the top and bottom to make toolbars appear: ♫♪♫ Upper toolbar: Music ♪♫♪ ● Scale - Click to cycle through a list of scales for the notes. ● Loop - Enabling this makes the music loop endlessly. ● Trim - Enabling this ignores the leftmost and rightmost areas that are empty. This only has effect when looping. ✎✐✎ Lower toolbar: Drawing ✐✎✐ ● Grid - Enabling this displays a grid showing where each note is detected. ● Color palette - Click the color you want to draw with. Each color represents a different instrument. ● Brush tool - Click this to enable drawing. ● Eraser tool - Click this to enable erasing. ● Erase all - Click this to erase everything.
This is a more advanced version of my earlier project Listen to Your Art: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/506511402/ Thanks to @kriblo and @njdavison for feedback and ideas on the original project! The loop and trim features are based on @kriblo's clever remix of the original project: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/507394951/ The grid was suggested by @njdavison. The rest of the code is by me. The art is by you :) The scales are borrowed from beepbox.co (I love the smiley idea).
