Today I entered @ravenpuff08’s art contest. The theme was ‘float’, which I really loved! :D ⟶ PRESS SPACE to stop the drifting dandelion seeds (this will allow you to zoom in!) and then again to see a close-up of the character! ^^ ⟶ This very well might be the longest time I’ve spent on a piece of art; I think this took around 7 hours (I don’t watch the clock, so it could have been more)? I’m very happy with how it turned out in the end, though, so it was definitely worth it. :) ⟶ My artist’s statement: Immediately I think of water and lily pads when I hear the word ‘float’, but as I was looking through the entries, I noticed that a lot of people had done that. I wanted to do something a little bit different, and the next thing that came to mind was a dandelion — I decided to combine the two ideas, as you can see here! ⟶ Constructive criticism is welcome as always!
