/rp /dsmp tw for all caps and talking about mental illnesses (fhrknj i need to put these in my descriptions more often) hi ! I've noticed a lot of dsmp fans on scratch are only on scratch. There's a certain thing that has been brought up on other websites that I wanted to share here ^^ (if i got anything wrong please tell me) Romanticizing mental illnesses. This is more of a problem in the /entire/ fandom. This is just little things like calling the villbur arc an 'Insanity Arc' (or calling Fundy's villain arc that to) because no, their not going insane. Better terms I've heard have been Paranoica Arc or Villain Arc. Another thing, Technoblade hearing voices? Don't make it seem like a scary thing, it /is/ a scary thing irl, but the voices are just chat. THEY MOSTLY JUST SPAM E. THAT IS NOT SCARY. /Actual/ people that hear voices all the time aren't scary like that. c!Techno's voices are just a thing in lore. My favorite headcannon to explain it has been that Philza asked Foolish to bless Techno when he adopted him and the voices are the voices of Totems that have been used by Techno. Chat is a fictional element. A mental illness? No. Ohe last point, Ranboo's breakdowns. THAT IS STRICTLY ANXIETY. He is not going 'insane' he is having a breakdown from stress and anxiety. (another thing i wanted to talk about but didn't really have enough discourse to go on? a lot of scratch users are under 12. Please don't get them into dsmp.
