Questions: --Section 1: General -- (5 questions) Q: Are you ready to start the survey? A: I suppose. Q: List 2 nicknames that you've been called by (IRL, or online). A: Well, people online have just called me 'Blue', but I'd rather if they didn't. It doesn't bother me though. I don't know about a second. I don't get called nicknames in real life, and if I was I wouldn't say because real name and all. Q: What is a common mis-conception about your profile? (Something people often make a mistake about) A: Well, I wouldn't be surprised if people thought me favourite colour was Blue due to my username. (It's Green) and a few people have said they thought I was a Girl. It does annoy me slightly, but I'm not going to have a go at people for something they didn't know. (My PFP on this account is just a Mii I created, it's not me.) Q: What's your favorite thing to do outside of scratch? A: Walking. Q: Do you have any sibings, or pets? If so, what are they like? A: I have a brother (We don't get along), a cat (she's good) and fish. -- Section 2: Scratch -- (9 questions) Q: Why did you join scratch? A: My old school suggested it to me because I liked creating my own games on PowerPoint. At least, I tryed. Q: What is your favorite thing to do on scratch? A: Whenever I get into a flow of making a project, then that's the best part. Q: What is something you would like to be changed about scratch? A: If it were easier to find projects that are unique and aren't remixes, then that'd be nice. Plus, I disagree with political discussions being allowed on here, and I'd prefer it if Scratch was free of that. I know it's important but it bothers me seeing it everywhere. Q: If you could add one thing to scratch, what would it be? A: Difficult. I can't really think- I'd rather a lot of small changes then one big one. Q: Define followers. A: Somebody who likes your projects, or the user. Q: What would you do if you woke up tomorrow with 10,000 followers? A: Be very confused, and try to find out why. Q:What do you think about @griffpatch having 200,000+ followers? Do you think he's a good fit for the most famous person? A: His projects are usually really impressive and show off what's possible on Scratch. I think a person like that is a perfect fit. Q: What is your favorite kind of scratch project? A: Games that are fun. There are games I see that are impressive, but even a simple game can hook somebody in, and those are the games I like to see. I also like seeing those fun games that are unique and creative. Q: What do you think makes a project 'unique'? A: (I answered the previous question before seeing this) I'd say a project that you can tell the user is showing their own creativity, to produce a project that you don't see often. Projects that are mostly made for the user and not to please the masses tend to be more creative as well in my opinion. -- Section 3: Education -- (10 questions) Q: Do you use scratch for school? A: No, not really. I have for one-off lessons in the past but overall I don't use it at school, no. Q: do you think scratch should be required in schools? A: I’m not a teacher or an education person, I don’t think I know enough to answer that question. Q: What is the worst thing about school? A: How monotonous it is. I actually quite like school, but it’s very repetitive. Q: Do you like online learning? A: I never did too much online learning, but I don’t like it. Q: Why do/don't you like online school? A: Well, I need to ask questions to the teacher a lot, and online doesn’t support that. As for video meetings, my school’s internet is abysmal. Q: What do you want to be when you become an adult? (If you're an adult, just put in your dream job) A: No idea. People have asked me, but I don't know. Q: What do you think you're going to be when you become an adult? (If you're an adult, write your job(s) A: No idea. Q: What is your favorite subject in school (if you aren't in school, write your favorite subject in school before you left/fgraduated) A: I don’t have any real favourite, though I like I Media (My school’s replacement for ICT in GSCE) quite a lot. I like at least a part of every lesson I do at the moment, though. Q: What is your least favorite subject? A: English Literature, and specifically English Literature (The study of texts and books and stuff), I like English Language. Q: Why is it your least favorite subject? A: I just don’t like analysing things. Everyone else points out hidden meanings that I can barely even believe that the original author intended, I’m no good at it, and it’s a bit boring. Plus, my English teacher likes the students to read aloud and really get involved in it, which I do not like in the slightest.
-- Section 4: Sleep -- (5 questions) -- Q: What time do you wake up, and go to bed? (round to the nearest hour) A: No idea when I get to sleep. I don’t keep track. I wake up at 7 for school, and later then that when there isn’t school. Q: How many hours of sleep do you have every night? A: No idea, I don’t keep track. Q: Would you stay up until mid-night on new years eve? A: I do, yes. Q: Do you have coffee in the morning? A: No. Q: How long can you sleep in if you wanted? A: Don’t know. It takes me way, way too long to get to sleep but once I'm asleep it lasts for ages. Not a good combo most of the time. -- Section 5: Outside of scratch -- (12 questions) Q: How much time do you spend outside every day? A: I try to spend a lot of time outside, I prefer it to inside. Q: What affects you in making the decision of going outside? A: Because I prefer it to inside. Q: Do you like being outside, or are you 'forced' out? A: Look at above questions. Q: Do you do stuff in your yard, or go somewhere else? A: I take a lot of walks around the block, or father if I'm with someone. Q: Do you do stuff by yourself, hang out with friends, or go on adventures with siblings? A: Whenever I go out for walks, it’s either on my own or with my Nan. I meet up with friends occasionally, but not consistently. Q: Do you do outdoor activities like going to the pool or hiking a lot? A: Like I said- I do walking. I also do Golf and Paddleboarding occasionally. Q: Do you play video games? A: Yes Q: If so, what video games do you play the most? A: It varies, but I'm definitely a Nintendo fan. I enjoy a lot on genres. I removed all reading questions because I’m not going to answer them for personal reasons. -- Section 6: Fun -- (7 questions) Q: What is your favorite symbol emoji (like :) :D) A: I don’t use them too much, but :) Q: What is your least favorite symbol emoji A: Difficult, I'm not a fan of most of them. Q: What is your favorite scratch emoji (Like _meow_) A: I don't use them, but I guess _apple_ because why not. Q: What is the coolest thing you've ever done? A: No idea. Q: What is the most risky thing you've ever done? A: Again, I don't really know. I don't keep logs. Q: Have you ever done anything exotic (Like swimming with dolphins, skydiving, etc.) A: That depends on what counts as ‘exotic’. Q: What's the first word that comes to mind when you read this: polar bear A: yet. I have no idea why. -- Section 7: Feedback -- (10 questions) Q: On a scale of 1-10, how was this project? A: No idea. Q: How can this project improve? A: The questions would be better in the project instead of in the description- trying to input the answers got me over the limit, so that's why I had to split it between Instructions and Notes and Credits. Q: Were the instructions clear? A: Yes. Q: did you have fun? A: Sure, it gave me something to do. Q: How much time did it take for you to do this (optional): A: Wasn’t keeping track, I missed that part of the instructions. Q: Are any of the questions not needed? A: That depends on what the survey is for. That part wasn't clear at all. Q: Do you have any questions to add? A: Same answer as above. Q: Do you think I should make another one? A: Why not? If you want. I'd probably answer it if you did another. Q: Are there any other sections that you think should be added? A: Can’t think of any. Q: Did you actually finish the project before doing this? A: Yes.
