Right now in the United States hate and racism is abound. Asian-Americans have been getting attacked, physically, and verbally! This is not cool. No one deserves to be hurt because of where they are from, look like, or believe. I am terrified that my amazing Asian friends will be put in the situation that so many others have been put in. It’s not fair that so many people are afraid of being from other countries! This is my opinion, and it is totally okay to have a different opinion, but sparking violence because of that opinion, is not okay. At all. I suggest taking the time to really think about how you feel right now. If you have the opposite opinion than me, please really think hard about why other people believe all races and ethnicities are equal. Donald Trump has called COVID-19 the Chinese Virus, because we thing the virus was first found in Wuhan, China. This is not an accurate name. Chinese people are not at fault for this pandemic. There is no one to blame. Let’s spread this message. We want a peaceful country. A peaceful world. Thank you for reading my little vent. -Sunny
