Chapter One: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/510355706 Chapter Two: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/510488990 I looked around me. Just white sand, as far as the eye can see, broken briefly by the rough figures of Fade, Red, and Pin trekking through the sand a few feet in front of me. Surprisingly, it wasn’t hot at the desert. It wasn’t cold either. It was some kind of cool breeze, shifting the sand around us. I was able to catch up to Pin and tried to strike up a conversation. “So you said your name was, Pin, yeah?” I asked awkwardly, not really knowing what to say. “Yeah,” she nodded, “and Fade said you don’t know your name yet, yeah?” “‘Yet’?” I asked. “Well, yeah. None of us know our names, not really. So we made our own.” “Oh… ok.” I said. That was understandable, I guess nobody else remembered things, like me. But… did they remember anything else? I didn’t know, but I’d save that for later. Fade didn’t say much during the trip. She seemed bothered by something, maybe she was still shaken up by the storm? She’d been through four already, but I guess it’s always tough for some. I was still lost in my thoughts when I tripped over a rock. Red was the first to notice, and ran over to help me up. “You ok?” He asked me concernedly. “Yeah, I’m fine, thanks. I just tripped over a rock.” Red stopped. “A rock?” He suddenly began looking around. “Here’s the next one.” He said, standing over another rock nearby, slightly bigger than the one I tripped on. “Fade!” He called, “We found the trail!” “Trail?” I quietly asked Pin. “Just follow us.” She muttered back before grabbing my hand and pulling me after her. A few minutes later, we arrived at a cave, buried in the sand. Pin was the first to rush inside. “Ah, finally, shelter!” Pin exclaimed, her voice echoing across the cave. “It’s not time to rest, Pin.” Fade said exasperatedly as she followed Pin inside. Pin rolled her eyes, “It’s never time to rest with you.” “The sole reason we’re still alive.” Fade responded. “Is Fade always like this?” I asked Red quietly. “Yeah,” he nodded, “I’m honestly concerned at this point, but I guess it’s what she needs to be like to survive.” “That makes sense… I guess.” I muttered, walking into the cave after Red.
