Happy Earth Day, peeps! Earth Day is over, but still keep trying to save the environment! Earth Day is one of my most favorite holidays. I go to cleanups like every year except for last year (because of covid, duh) and it is just awesome. Here are a few Earth Day Facts: -Earth Day was first established in the 1970s. -The founder of Earth Day was a guy called Gaylord Nelson from Wisconsin. -Earth Day went international in 1990. Here are some little ways that you can help our earth: -Turn off the lights when you leave a room. -Take shorter showers but please, clean thoroughly! -Look for drafts and fix them if you can. -Don't plug in your computer unless you absolutely need to -DO. NOT. LITTER. OR. ELSE. I. WILL. GET. YOU. -Go to beach/park/anywhere cleanups. -Try not to ride cars if you can. Bikes, carpools, or trains, anyone? -Respect nature and stay on the trail on hikes! -Don't use unsustainable material (bad sunscreen, bad food, bad plastic...) -Be smart about what foods you can buy! For example, avoid palm oil unless you absolutely have to, and if they were made with unsustainable ingredients, don't buy them. Go to b.link/palm10 for more info. -Make bird feeders! -Plant some trees. -Plant native plants! -Plant some flowers to help restore the bee and butterfly population. -Recycle and reuse everything that can be recycled and reused! -Start a compost with worms. -If you can, donate to organizations helping save the earth. And some big ways: -Do some of the stuff Earth suggested: Petitions, letters, and protests. -Put up some posters. Posters always help. -Start a "Save The Earth" club at school. Pick up trash, spread the word, etc. -Make some earth day projects on scratch!
I got some of the Earth Day info up there ^ from Bing and the Earth Day Website at https://earthday.org so thanks to them. O.M.G. 103 views? TYSM GUYS! #SavePlanetEarth #EarthDay
