The Covered Secrets Prologue Lime and woodland where frantically scurrying through the dence and dangerous forest .She and woodland had been Scouting the hivewings territory for the past 10 years and this was the only time the hivewing had seen them. She was stiff with fear but kept running with her green gold speckled egg. Her vision started to become cloudy and she knew she would never see her dragonets grow up because this was her last day. She knew nothing could save her not even her leafspeak. Woodland bumped her and she snapped back to life running faster than ever. She knew even if she didnt survive, the egg had to. Woodland tripped and fell to the ground wincing at the gash on his scratched up knee ''LIME GET THE EGG TO SAFETY'' he shouted with tears in his eyes. Lime continued running, wincing at her snake bite that was slowly inching up her slender leg. she hobbled past multiple Flytraps and Pitcher plants all while thinking '' This egg has to survive'' suddenly the leaves rusted above her and she saw a Hivewing grinning at her with murderous looks. The hivewing pounced on her back forcing her to the ground, Lime Used her leafspeak to pin the Hivewing while she scratched his face '' THIS IS FOR MY FAMILY"' she shouted. Finally she Cut off the The Hivewings stingers so he could not sting her. She smiled at the hivewing and said '' Bye sweetie hope the Panther over there does not eat you'' pointing to the panther stalking up to the hivewing. soon after she left him she heared the scream. She continued Running down stream Sometimes running in the water. tears clouded up her eyes but she forced them down. She Finally saw the Sapwing village Towering up into the sky. She hobbled past village guards and finally fell down in the hands of her oldest daughter, Rosemary who was only 2 and a half years old she hugged her daughter and whispered the last words that would ever leave her mouth '' Rosemary promise me that u will never Ever Let my fate happen to you or to your sister '' Rosemary clutched her talons and said ''Dont go!'' Tears formed in mother and Dragonets eyes '' dont ever trust...'' she went limp ''NOOO'' Rosemary screamed and cried into her foster mothers arm
