(recent or long time ago) One time in Choir, I walked into the room not looking where I was going and I tripped over a chair and landed right on my face exactly like someone in a cartoon :D People were watching, but I didn't mind. The only thing I was thinking about was how foolish and hilarious I must've looked to the people around me. I lay there for a few seconds and laughed, then I contained myself and got up. :) If you were stranded on an island and could only bring 5 people or five things, which one would you choose? Five people or five things? What or who would those five be? Is your room clean right now? Do you prefer it clean or messy? I prefer it clean but it's always more cluttered than I want and I rarely clean it. Who was your favorite teacher up until now? Why were they your favorite? My favorite teacher was my 4th grade teacher. I liked her b/c she was gentle and well suited to 9-year-old me who felt like her life was a book and would monologue in her head about every event and could never focus for long on what the teacher was saying and struggled w/t being distracted. My fifth grade teacher didn't like me much. Which is weird b/c he loved my older sister. I think I was over-hyped. Apparently I was an "Absent minded Professor" Except when he called me that when my parents weren't there it was not a joke or a compliment. But when my parents were there he'd be like, "yeah she's an absent minded professor lol :) :)" And then my parents would leave and he'd just, " :( w h y i s t h i s c h i ld l i k e t h is :0 " I liked my fourth grade teacher b/c she had a free teaching style but it wasn't swallowed up by computers or yoga balls. She fed my imagination more than anything else. In my fifth grade class we had educational mine-craft and yoga balls but wow I preferred my fourth grade class where we devoted part of each week to improv class. My teacher and a few other students and I were going to start an improv club but by the time fifth grade rolled around she got a job at a school that allowed her more freedom for her teaching style. It was her dream job, so while I was sad to see her go along w/t our plans, I was happy for her and I /understood/. What do you think of school? Do you like it? Hate it? Why? What was your favorite book growing up? Why did it stick out to you, making it your favorite? Would you reread it again? I loved Narnia. I loved how the author spoke less modernly but easy to understand. It was childish and beautiful Do you like writing? If yes, have you written any stories? (short or long, they don’t have to be published haha) I love writing. I've written some fanfic and other stories and poems. I struggle w/t turning my ideas into smth I can communicate. Last but not least, give us a story from your childhood that happened to you that you’re happy/sad about or you remember the most. One day in 5th grade, I learned how not to lose my top on the inside. Everyone in the class had an old school laptop to use. As a reward, the teacher was going to give me and some other students he thought were great students a newer school laptop. I think he told us to to take our laptop to the cart and switch them out for a new one. But I didn't understand what he said. Things like that happened a lot back then, the world went in one ear and crashed into a brick in my head. I tried to follow what others were doing to get my bearings, so I stood up. He looked up and scolded me for wandering aimlessly. I couldn't express what I was feeling or that I didn't understand what to do. He was annoyed b/c I didn't understand his instructions. maybe it was my fault for not concentrating enough. He told me to sit down and gave my new laptop to another kid. For the first time I realized that I didn't need his approval and I didn't take it personally. The old laptop worked similarly to the new one, so why would I need the teacher to like me? For better or worse, I stopped being jealous or scared of messing up, I accepted the way things turned out and just moved on. I was a Judy B. Jones style kid.
