Cinder is basically a dystopian spin-off of Cinderella. It features a young mechanic named Cinder, who is a cyborg, which has made her a minority. It is set hundreds of years in the future. World peace has been achieved, but unfortunately for Cinder, there's some other enemies to worry about. The first is a serious disease called letumosis. This has a 100% mortality rate. The second enemy is Queen Levena. She is the queen on the moon, and has the ability to control minds. After Cinder's sister catches the disease, her distraught stepmother sends her to cure testing for letumosis, which is basically a death wish. But Cinder is the first to survive. - why we should read it Cinder is a great book for anyone who likes sci-fi, dystopian, or fantasy novels. It has a realistic strong female character and is great for anyone who feels like they haven't always belonged. It's also very suspenseful.
