*tries to think of a creative title for an art dump* *fails* :'D anyways hello! been more than two months since my last art dump so here's a new one ^^ there are a lot more traditional pieces this time! and like the last one i've included some sketchbook doodles :D i'll also include some life updates in the bottom of this notes and credits :'> as usual, space or tap! part 1 ~ digital art 1. old art gah - something i drew when it was really rainy in february ^^ i don't like it much anymore but experimenting with the window was fun! 2. dtiys entry for @/madebymagi - if you can't tell it's an attempt of a piggyback pose xD 3. drawing for lunar new year! yay 4. doodle of a stuffed bunny :> 5. lil character based on the blooming plum blossoms in my backyard ~ 6. dtiys entry for @/koruhiko! i still really like this :D 7-8. my part of the collab with @/amiru_bun! she designed a character based off of moonstone, and i did sunstone. it was really fun ^^ 9. dtiys entry for @/seon1ce :) this was very calming to draw ~ 10. drawing for norman's birthday (from the promised neverland)! i had fun with the hair :D 11. fanart of ai ohto from wonder egg priority! i love her sm 12-13. a colored doodle. it was quite an experience trying to color a messy "lineart" but it was so fun ^^ second version is without a "color burn" overlay! which one do you like more? 14-15. my part for a collab with a bunch of people on ig! we were each assigned to draw a witch based off of a weather, this is a snowy witch ^^ i loved designing her outfit! and i think the background turned out well too :) do you think Rori or Lumi is a better name? help me decideee part 2 ~ traditional pieces 16-17. followed a tutorial for a watercolor splatter paint meadow! second pic is a picture of the process. 18. followed another tutorial for this mountain scene :D 19-21. wanted to try acrylics more, so here's a beach (also followed a video). the real thing looks better lol 22-27. i remembered to take process photos! this was a colored pencil drawing based on a photo. in the end i added some acrylic paint for the daisies since they weren't showing up part 3 ~ sketches and doodles 28. some doodles while rewatching my neighbor totoro, the movie is so fun hehe 29. on a more serious note, here were some vent doodles a while after the atlanta shooting. as an asian person this hit hard, along with the other anti-asian incidents. i could go on but don't want to make this too long <3 30. some 2-minute figure drawings from line-of-action.com ^^ (except the norman sketch in the top right lol) they're pretty helpful! 31. i took some doodle requests on ig, they were fun :) (not the figure drawing in the bottom right) 32. i tried doodling with a pen, apparently it helps you improve quicker? it was an interesting experience, i think i'll do it more often! 33. i was looking through old photos and redrew a photo of 10-year-old me (pigtails! hehe) in a blue-and-white dress :> 34. some 2-minute hand practice, from the line-of-action site as well! i've been enjoying hands lately and these are a great way to improve 35. aaand finally - took a photo of my own hand and sketched it! i'm planning to turn this into a bigger piece but until then i love this sketch hehe <3 part 4 ~ nature? food? yeaaah 36-41. plum blossoms in my yard! they bloomed for like a week and then the leaves came xD 42-43. i made strawberry mousse cake(s) for my younger brother's birthday! 44. i made an ocean-themed bento for my japanese class ^^ 45. i tried making japanese purin (pudding) :) 46. i made croutons! 47. oatmeal raisin cookies :> and that is it! hope you enjoyed ^^ (and the music - lexie carroll is a legend asdflkj) most of the digital ones are also posted on my insta, @/marineskies - little self plug here since my account there is still very small xD life updates, as promised - school has been pretty tiring and stressful recently,, but spring break is coming so i'm excited for that! i have to study for a chinese exam argh but at least i'll have a bit more free time ^^' oh - about piano, i received my results for my exam recently! i did pretty well :D now i'm just working on the pieces to take level 10 next year lol - and a cover of isabella's lullaby from the promised neverland! and also about the spring icons, i'm sorry to those who haven't received theirs, i haven't been making progress >< i've just - lost the motivation but please hang in there i promise i'll make them soon <3 one last thing - if i ever did a tutorial or "how i draw" type of thing, what would you like to see? a specific aspect, like the face or just my process with sketching, lineart, coloring? credits ~ - all art and photos drawn/taken by me - please don't use, trace etc! - music is "I hope you know" by Lexie Carroll! please check out her yt, her music is amazing and so calming <3 - code by me as well! you can use it, just give credit
