Sean preposed to Mai to be his girlfriend in their third year of middle school. Since he was young he could not afford a fancy ring even though his family was one of the biggest companies and were wealthy, his dad made him earn and spend his own money except if it was necessities like food and clothes. They were in middle school so it would be weird. He instead bought two duck hair clips as a ring instead but its not a ring, its a hair clip.
