Okay, so I have a question. Well, 2, actually. Why-why does it hurt to be nice?? Why is that 'uncool' or 'dumb' or whatever? I feel like people who are generally not specifically kind get treated as 'cool' and 'logical' and they get treated with more respect than those who are /always/ kind and sweet. I feel like people think they can push those who are kind around, that they don't have logic, that they are less responsible, when really? They are the most logical thinkers. Being kind doesn't take much, especially when you're online. Your comment doesn't have to be sassy or snappy or any of that. (Ex. Person A says "Hi! Are trades open?" on Person B's profile when clearly it says they are not. Person B might say: "Can't you read? If you would've actually wanted to trade then you'd have paid more attention." Or, they could say: "Hey there! Unfortunately, my trades are currently closed, but I can let you know when trades are back open! Also, do you mind checking my profile next time? Thanks in advance! :)" ) So, which one would you rather hear? I'm preeeeetty sure not a lot of people like hearing that first option. Also: Why would you even say that first option? Does it make people look cool or something? Or smart? Because really, it's not. And I /don't/ understand why some people do this. Do you purposely want to make a person who might be genuinely asking something feel bad like this? :\ And hey, try the second option some time. Try being nice. We won't bite you. :)
Just to make it clear, this wasn't directed at anyone, just something I've seen on scratch frequently; I'm sorry if you felt that this was pointed to you, that really wasn't my intent. The example was completely random.
