Aʙᴏᴜᴛ ᴛʜᴇ Pʀᴏᴊᴇᴄᴛ My dad loves plants. :) Yesterday, he gave me a plant catalog! He said I could look through it and pick one plant to try and grow. That catalog inspired me to make this project! When I was reading it, I saw so many amazing plants that I had never heard of before! The goal of this project is to introduce you to new plants! If you are interested in them, try searching them up to find out more about them! Maybe you'll be so interested, you'll want to try growing them! Sometimes you won't find results on the internet. If that happens, make sure you've spelled it right, or try adding the word "plant" at the end. If that doesn't work, try searching up the scientific name of the plant (you'll definitely have to do this for the Black Lotus)! Wʜᴀᴛ Aʀᴇ USDA Zᴏɴᴇꜱ? USDA zones are used to measure the average temperature in an area. The coldest is 1a, and the warmest is 11b. You can find out your USDA zone by asking your parent, or searching it up. What do USDA zones have to do with plants? You probably already know that certain plants need/thrive in certain temperatures. So, if you know your USDA zone, then you'll know if a plant can survive in your area! If your place is too cold or warm, you can solve those problems by raising your plant in a greenhouse (there are mini ones that can find in backyards!), or indoors! :D Tʜᴇ Eɴᴅ! Do you have any questions? Comment them? Suggestions? Comment those, too! Constructive feedback? Yep, that's okay! I hope you enjoyed this project! :D
