look with your eyes. If you're interested, you can read the story of the colorless flower below. check out my cover of "You Are My Sunshine" https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/568129512/ ~The Colorless Flower~ Her beauty was real, once. Long before things changed. She was just like all the rest at first. Only a small sapling, but she survived. As she grew, it was impossible not to notice how different she was. Her petals were brighter, her stem was stronger, her leaves were greener. Her beauty exceeded that of the norm. She drew crowds from afar, never missing a chance to strut. She made sure to tell the others, though they needed no reminding. She praised the sun, and the sky that they had granted her such greatness of no other. But one morning, the sun didn't come out. The sky was covered in clouds, rather than it's usual clear weather. The flower worried for her beauty, and turned her head, searching for the sun. Her strange behavior was never seen by the other flowers. Any amount of light she saw, she followed, but never did she find the sun. As the sun left, her leaves began to lose their color, and her petals did too. From all of the walking, her stem no longer stood straight and tall. During her travels, she came across a lake, and she looked at her reflection to see what she had become. The color had been washed away by the rain that fell from the cloudy sky. She continued her trek across the land, until one day she discovered a large field, covered in dull, lifeless, and colorless beings, just like herself. "We are the lost souls, the ones who couldn't find their way. The ones who searched but never found. The ones who tried but never were rewarded. The ones who lost all hope and color. We are the lost souls." "If you are lost souls, then I don't belong here," she cried, not wanting to believe in such nonsense, "My purpose is to find the sun, and follow him where ever he go's. I must find my color again." "We are the lost souls," they told her, in a misty voice, "You are one of us, you are now apart of this we. We have lost our hope, and lost our color. Let go of the hope you will find the sun. You will never find the sun, let go." She obeyed, realizing she didn't have a choice. She settled herself in the ground, and allowed the sun to fade from her memory, just as the colors had faded from her petals. Gone and lost forever. As she sat in the silence, something strange happened. She heard something, without noise even coming. But how was that possible? She listened for the non-existing sound. Finally she was able to hear- no- feel the lost souls singing, yet, somehow, silently in the night. "The flowers bloom in spring, but we mustn't spread our wings. Hope once flew like the bird, now truth seems a dull word. Listen with an open mind, but don't turn back, or all hope dies." comment "monochrome" Keep calm, keep safe, keep coding. Duckling out! 9/8/21 So this is supposed to be a sunflower... not very good but I tried so there. I did work hard on this so please don't be mean in the comments!! There is a story that goes with this image, if you care enough to read it. The song does have a tune so I might eventually sing it and put it in a project but I don't usually do stuff with my voice on Scratch so unless someone really wants to hear it, I don't think I'll actually do it. If you do want to hear it please say something in the comments!
