This is a small video for my last Classical Conversations Project! Aaaahhh! Time goes by fast!! The instructions given were to use an element in the periodic table and create an 'advertisement' so-to-speak to "sell" your element to the viewers. A quick note: In many advertisements/commercials, they word things in a way to make it sound like it is 100% CRUCIAL for you to buy their product. Also, they often word things in a way to where their product comes across better than it actually is. Beware when they do this. And by the way, (see if you can catch it XD) I did the same thing in my project. In this project, I phrase things in a way that make it sound like a magnesium deficiency will always cause the listed side-effects. That is not true. The listed side-effects CAN be a result of a low magnesium deficiency, (as they often are), but you are not 100% guaranteed to develop those symptoms if you are low on magnesium. Also, while magnesium supplements can often help solve a magnesium deficiency and the side-effects that go alongside the magnesium deficiency, there are some pros and cons to taking a supplement. This is an article from the Mayo Clinic, written by Katherine Zeratsky, nicely listing some of the pros and cons of magnesium supplements. https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/nutrition-and-healthy-eating/expert-answers/magnesium-supplements/faq-20466270 Also, (as mentioned in the article), make sure that you let your doctor know that you're taking magnesium before you start taking it. If you are on certain medications, particularly heart-medications, magnesium supplements could directly interfere with the medications. It is also advised not to take magnesium supplements if you are on antibiotics. Sorry about all that - I kinda get carried away when it comes to health stuff :)
