So much so that he almost always spends his time alone. He prefers to be alone, but not completely alone. He wants other cats around, but he doesn’t like to be near or socializing with them. He’s definitely more of a listener than than a talker; in fact, he’s mute. He has been ever since he was born. While it should make things easier for him, it only stays the same. Despite Curlykit not having a voice, he still has an extremely hard time socializing with other cats. As he speaks, his words start getting jumbled together as he gets more and more nervous, and eventually he stops talking altogether, afraid of what the other cat thinks of him. He thinks that everyone thinks he’s weird, useless, and dumb, and he often tells these things to himself throughout that day. He puts himself down way too often, and makes himself feel guilty for feeling happy or upset. Like, say something really good happened to him, and he was really excited about it. Well, he would scold himself that he shouldn’t be excited, because it will go horribly wrong, or won’t happen at all. And, if he gets angry or upest about something, he will scold himself again, telling himself that what he’s upset about is dumb, and that there’s so many cats who’s in a worse position than he is. He’s really nervous a lot of the time, too. He’s not jumpy, but always afraid about something. And sometimes it could be for no reason at all! The sheer thought of talking to cats sends terror through him, but the thought of being completely alone is even worse. A lot of the time, just getting through the day is a struggle for Curlykit. He tries though; he really does. But, being terrified for basically no reason nearly 24/7 is quite a struggle for him, but he still tries. Everyday, he keeps a smile on his face, and he never tells anyone what’s going on. He cries at night, when everyone is asleep, and he seldom cries during the day. He really tries to be helpful and kind to others, but with his anxiety, it’s nearly impossible. Being happy is seldom for him, because whenever he is, something always comes and makes him come crashing down. There is one thing he tries to do though, despite everything in his life: He always tries to look at the good. He gives himself good thoughts, like how at least he has a nest to sleep in, and he has clanmates around him, and he has food to eat. It’s something that despite all the hills he has to go over every single day, he truly believes in, how ever hard it may be.
