Now, the reason you clicked on this project is either because you asked yourself, "How are those two related?" Or you asked "When did mops become Game Theory?" Well, I talked to @bzhou66 and he asked people to tell him what certain monsters were, and one of those, were checkers. It's easy to see why he's confused about what Checkers is based off of since, well, it certainly doesn't seem like an actual monster, and so, I started theorizing. The other question's explanation, is in this description. I think that Checkers, is Kraken's descendant, it could be vice versa, but I think it's more likely that it's Checkers being the descendant of Kraken. Why? Well, it's complicated, but we have to start at the beginning of my researching. The reason I started thinking about this, is the design, they both have similar tentacle or leg design, they both have these "bumps" and "neck". Another thing is that you can compare Kraken's range, to Checkers', they're actually very similar, the only difference, is that Kraken's is better. Kraken also is able to go onto water and escape easier and get rid of Checkers' greatest flaw. (Which is being land-locked.)Not only is this better, but the defence, is also similar. Now, i'm not telling you all that Kraken is Checkers 2.0, you can tell very clearly by the stats that Kraken has worse in, especially speed. But that's expected through evolution, animals discard certain things they don't need and keep the new traits that they need, and even though normal Checkers is dramatically different, longshot checkers, isn't. In fact, I think MM could have an entire evolution system, having different traits is part of evolution, variation. And that wraps it up, Longshot led to Checkers getting more range, how Kraken used water to escape from death, and the similar stats that these monsters have. BUT THAT'S JUST A THEORY, A MONSTER MELEE THEORY! Thanks for reading...
@RendHeaven for MM MatPat for kinda inspiring me to do this for Checkers and Kraken's designs Nature for evolution and science Me for writing this and giving myself a headache (my brain hurts)
