Haii again!! I took a half-hour out of my day to do a little bit of art. This is a cloud study! I've been trying to practice more realism stuff and I decided clouds were a good thing to start with, since they are pretty free-form, and there's no wrong way to make a cloud. I used different blending modes to do the rainbow shadow effect. The lighting part was probably the hardest part out of all of this. Because clouds have lots of curves and angles and shapes, lighting is weird. Your lighting has to be "lumpy" and carefree. The sky started out as a dark blue-grey, but once I made the clouds, I realized that the color I gave the background wouldn't work. So instead of changing the color of the bg, I made a new layer and colored it a very bright purple, and then played around with the blending modes a bit. I used kleki for this =)) lmk what you think!! i would love criticism on this piece. what material should i try next?
