dang imagine posting three times a week.. im on a roll man... but yep i drew dottore (his mask is so pretty i cant...) and i thought since i had a pretty big style change with my previous two projects, i’d make a project with the recent changes and things i’ve thought of implementing into my artstyle! here i’m talking about my art style like its a fixed thing, but that’s the opposite of what artstyle is. it’s constantly changing, and thats what makes it so unique. i could say that i dont like my artstyle and that a lot of these process pics are probably useless, but im not gaining anything by degrading my art, and neither are you :D instead of looking at the downsides of your artwork, you need to focus on the aspects you like and how you can change the rest of your art or the parts you dont like to your liking. also i know you already know this but don't heavily depend on someone else's artstyle, its nice to look at other peoples process pics but don't make someone else's style the foundation of your work. inspiration is cool and good, but being lenient on another person's work is NOT. so what sparked such a big change in my artwork? and if you could take away one thing from this project, what would it be? two main things i’d say are: look at other artists, and dont be afraid to experiment. firstly, looking at other artists artworks changed the way i think of styles/art SO MUCH. originally, i really really wanted to have a very specific style but just taking things you enjoy from other artists and using it in your art helps a lot. one main thing i love is adding the reflections from the bg and the eyes and stuff to the hair and stuff, and i learned that by observing other peoples art. also, don't be afraid to experiment with your artwork! try simplifying or detailing and even if it maybe isn't perfect, move on until you find something you like. lol the hard part is redoing smthn u like B..) but um yeah that's it :"D yo did u know dottore means doctor? that's ironic isn't it haha what with the human experimentation mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm dottore ur incredibly sus CREDITS: - zooming code is.. you guessed it.. from - character is il dottore from the genshin impact manga - artwork made on procreate, took me 4.5 hours (i'm getting so much faster at drawing!! :D) - song is sometimes by bo en... fits so much right :D if u made it this far................... pspspsppsppsp catto says hi
