We remain in 1992 to talk about an exceptional typhoon which impacted Guam and multiple other Pacific islands, TYPHOON OMAR! Omar was, by my estimates, a base-line Category 5 super typhoon that wreaked havoc on Guam, the strongest on the island since 1976. Omar would become one of the very few retirements of the WPAC in the pre-2000 era.
