When you get to knuckles stage go to the edge of all 3 parts of knuckles stage then press 7. Finally when Eggman's stages start, wait until you reach the end of The Goodbye Eggman stage to get the I AM GOD screen, and the game over screen, then the final screen is READY FOR ROUND 2.
