Here's my guitar cover of the Davy Jones theme, from Pirates of the Carribean: Dead Man's Chest. Take off your headphones, sit back, enjoy! Please leave a like, fave, or comment if you liked this, it's free and very appreciated :) I recorded this on guitar because A: it's the only instrument your dude can play and B: I've always wondered what this song would sound like with metal/acoustic overtones (I'm sure its been done before). The first two verses are recorded on my acoustic, then I plugged it in for the 3rd, 4th, and 5th (The original song picks up with a sweeping orchestral theme at this point). When I first watched POTC 2 and 3, the theme struck me as hauntingly beautiful, yet powerful, which is something I tried to emulate here. It captured the stormy nature of Davy Jones (the character), who happens to be one of my favorites in the series. And yes, I am aware that this needs improvement. Yes, I am aware that the youtube genius who is Faleja recorded fantastic lyrics for this song, which I didn't record cause my throat's as soar as a kraken in a shark reef. But I might revisit this song... If any of yall want to add lyrics, or do a collab, I'm always up for that!
