Heyo! So I'm just trying out different art apps to find the best one for my style! WARNING: I DO NOT HAVE THE APP PROCREATE, SO THAT WILL NOT BE IN THIS PROJECT. The first challenge was figuring out what to draw. And what my style is. Eventually, I just ended up drawing a super cool/messy solar-system eyeball thing. First Program: Scratch! BITMAP- Being honest, I drew the eye in vector, and then converted it to bitmap, so vector and bitmap are the same ;w; I know this is kinda cheating, but still! It's on Scratch :> anyway, it was pretty easy to draw. I couldn't replicate the reference picture that well because Scratch doesn't have a pencil brush. It only really has ONE brush, and thats the- well.. brush :T. Anyway, it was kinda easy, but not the best. RATING: 3.5/5 because it doesn't have multiple brushes, but it was easy to navigate and draw on! Second Program: IbisPaintX! This is the usual art app that I use, but I won't play favorites. It's pretty easy to navigate, and it has different brushes. Although, if you don't pay for the brushes, you have to watch ads to get the brushes for a certain amount of time. RATING: 4.5/5 its easy to navigate and use, but you have to watch ads if you want super cool brushes Third Program: Autodesk Sketchbook! The pencil was thicker than expected, but thats ok! It was pretty easy to navigate, so that was nice. I don't use this app often, so it was kind of hard for me to move around, but i got the hang of it eventually :D anyway, I kinda like this one! RATING: 4/5 great app, a little hard to move around, brushes are thicker than expected. that may be my fault tho lol XD Fourth Program: Medibang Paint! Honestly, I was expecting a bit more from this one. For my experience, only a couple things were easy to navigate. For me, there was only one brush, and the painting was super pixel-y. It was easy to use though. But to be able to access more brushes, I had to have an account. Also, I couldn't figure out how to save the image to my computer, so I just screenshotted it. RATING: 2.5/5. I have to have an account to access more brushes. Its also super pixel-y, and was pretty hard to navigate. Also, I couldn't save the image. Fifth Program: Adobe Draw! Alright, I've gotta be honest. This was the best one here!! It was really easy to use, and it even gave you a quick, 30-second tutorial! It only has 2 flaws- 1) it only has 4 brushes and 2) it saves on a cream-colored background. I really liked this program!
