So... May is coming up soon. And you know what that means! MerMay! For those of you who don't know, MerMay is an art challenge in which artists try to draw mermaids daily for the entire month (some do weekly). In past years, I burnt out and never finished the month. But this year, I have a plan. And a favour to ask all of you. Please hold me accountable to my plan, if you just want to drop a comment every now and then asking where I am and if I'm on track. Here's my plan: I will do one drawing every day- one drawing from that week will be refined into a complete illustration with a full-blown background. Characters drawn will be my own or characters important to my characters. Daily Drawing Plans: Day 1- (Start of Renegades Section) Josh Day 2- Victor Day 3- Veronica Day 4- Charlie Day 5- Azrael Day 6- Ash Day 7- Wren Drawing of the Week: TBD- Probably Josh Day 8- Tessa Day 9- Atro Day 10- Kieran Day 11- Emmie Day 12- Isadora Day 13- Alice Day 14- Vesper (End of Renegades Section) Drawing of the Week: TBD- Probably Atro Day 15- (Start of First Tribes Section) Etch Day 16- Gale Day 17- Depths Day 18- Ripple Day 19- Arion Day 20- Lichen Day 21- Nova (End of First Tribes Section) Drawing of the Week: TBD - Probably Etch Day 22- (Start of Personal Characters Section) Void Day 23- Hali Day 24- Haiku Day 25- Faye Day 26- NEON Day 27- Ramune Day 28- Quinn (End of Personal Characters Section) Drawing of the Week: TBD- Probably NEON or Hali Note: The final two days will be special. Instead of the normal daily drawing, those days will be reserved for drawing myself as a mermaid, and then leaving that final day to draw whatever I want (BUT I WILL STILL DRAW)! Thanks everybody who read all of that :> Please excuse my awful writing- UPDATE: I have found my plan for MerMay very taxing and have been disappointed in most of the resulting sketches and illustrations. I will be doing one drawing every three days now and will continue the challenge through the next month. I will still post the drawings on June 1st, but I will continue adding drawings as I finish them. Hopefully, I can keep the motivation to keep this up qwq
