P to switch to paint mode and L to switch to line mode space to paint to make a line press the "L" Key then hold the space bar while you move you mouce to the end point (Where you want to end the line) then leg go of space and it will draw a line. Their is different colors on the top left click them to set you colors to them (Note: White also works like an eraser) and click the red clear button to reset your color to the base color.
