Chapter 3 is here everyone! “Thunder means death Thunder means life, the North is a horrible place to go yet you must go or all is lost.” -Crystalkit Check out chapter 2: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/522126680 Check out chapter 1: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/522023844
Northkit took a deep breath of the chilly air, she could smell the scent of new buds. “Come on Acornkit!” She called out to the brown tom following behind her. “Are you sure this is a good idea Northkit?” He called after her, looking around nervously. “Elmstar is a mouse-brain for making the kits stay in camp, and mouse-brain rules are meant to be ignored.” “...I’m not sure that’s how it works.” Northkit gave him a smirk, “Well it is now. So stop being such a mouse-heart and watch this!” She suddenly turned and leaped up into one of the tree branches with grace, climbing higher and higher up one of the tall oaks. Acornkit let out a fearful yelp, “Carful! What if you slip!” Northkit let out a laugh, gazing down at Acornkit bellow her. “Come up! There is an amazing view up here.” “Ok, if you say so.” He mumbled, not looking nearly as excited as Northkit. He hauled himself up the first branch, not nearly as graceful as his friend. Panting, he clutched the first branch and looked up at Northkit who was far above him. “I think *gasp* I’m just gonna stay *pant* here for now.” “Well whatever, I have an idea anyways. I’ll be Northstar leader of Thunderclan and your will be Acorntoes my deputy.” Acornkit wrinkled his nose, “Acorntoes?” He echoed looking down at his toes as if mildly offended. “Shush don’t question the leader.” Northkit snapped, raising her head to look superior although the effect was ruined once she burst out laughing. “What are you two doing! Get down this instant.” Snapped a voice. It was Lightspot, his black and white fur shone silver in the moonlight as he glared up at them. “Kits aren’t supposed to leave the camp.” Acornkit drooped his tail, jumping off the branch clumsily and Northkit climbed down the tree avoiding the warriors eyes. “What would have happened if you two had fallen? No one would have known where you were!” “Sorry Lightspot.” Acornkit said sadly, but Northkit cut in front of him giving a glare. “No we are not sorry, it’s unfair that we don’t get to leave the camp!” “Quiet! You will both have to help out Daywillow for the rest of the moon.” Northkit let out a groan, she hated having to help out the medicine cat with all of her weird plants. They followed, still sulking, behind Lightspot as he led them back to camp. “Nice going ‘Northstar’.” Acornkit growled. She let out a huff of anger. One day things would change around here. She was sure of it.
