“Tell me... tell me I’m right.” The whispery voice clawed at Raelyn’s ears. She tried to block it out, tried to ignore it, but it kept coming and coming and coming, repeating the same words over and over until Rae was certain she was going to go insane. The worst part was— it was right. It really was right. “I-I—” Rae started. “I am right. And you know it.” The voice confirmed, way too confident for someone who would be stuck in a dark oblivion if it weren’t for the person it was bothering. “I-I mean... y-you are. They don’t care, do they?” Rae whispered, her voice seeming small and cracked in the darkness of her room. “Not really. Your father does care for anyone but your mother, your mother only cares for your father and brothers, and you brothers barely notice you.” The voice said. And... Rae believed it. It was common knowledge that her father was... well, he was her father. And her mom always doted on Zack and Char, never on Rae. And Rae couldn’t remember the last time Zack begged her to play with him, or the last time Char said they actually wanted to hang out with Rae. Rae could feel the thick, hot tears pouring down her cheeks, and she didn’t even bother to wipe at them, letting the sobs take over. “They don’t care... how do I make them care? Tell me, please. I just want them to care.” Rae pleaded with the voice, her voice breaking, desperately hoping it had a plan. “Don’t worry, sweetie, I have a plan...” The voice said, and Rae could almost hear the wicked smile in it’s voice. “T-then let’s do this.” Rae said, finally wiping the tears off her face. <———><———><———><———><———><———> So there we go >:D tell me if you have any critiques or things I messed up with spelling/grammar.
