*everything you need to know is in this description!* NO SET DUE DATE YET :D _________________________________________ oh wow holy cow about a thousand people and a half think i'm good enough to clog up their "what's happening" so here's a DMC, which stands for Draw My Character. it's a type of art contest in which you draw something of one of my characters in hopes of winning! (i mean, you can enter and not care about winning too for sure, you do you!) to enter, you *don't* need to ask or be following me. you just have to read through everything and follow all of the rules! _________________________________________ ✨ RULES ✨ yes you have to follow all of them, if you don't i'll let you know. if things get bad you'll be disqualified. if things get worse you'll be banned from anything i host D: - Do NOT ask questions that have already been answered in this description. I will not answer. Also, please don't ask to enter. Please read through everything. - Remix with your entry(s). Put any valid entry(s) in the "1.5k+ DMC" studio. Do NOT put unrelated projects in the studio; only put entries for this contest in there. - You must include the codeword in your project description. This is just so I know you payed attention to all the stuff I wrote. Even if your entry is godly, I can't count it until you add the codeword. - Be kind and respectful to everyone- that includes me, other people, and yourself. Just don't be a Jerk^TM - You may only draw the characters that I have linked. Do not draw any of my other characters as an entry. Please see the "PRIZES" section to see which characters you can enter for. - By entering, you agree that I may use the artwork with proper credit. - You may enter for more than one category. You may win prizes in both categories but the chance is slim. - You may make more than one piece of artwork per character. Please put all artwork for a single character inside of one project. It will count as one entry. - Follow along with what the reference sheets say. Do not give my characters redesigns; this includes changing their species. Small tweaks to fit your art style are acceptable. - Do not draw my characters interacting romantically with each other or other characters (with the exception being Neptune and Felix together, if you choose to draw them). You may include friendly interactions. - Do not make your entry hateful, offensive, or overly suggestive. This is a kid's website. Just don't, okay? - Joke entries will not count. - Do not claim any of my characters as your own. You should include a little bit a credit as well as the codeword which happens to be the word lovely. - Any style or form of art is allowed- digital, pencil, marker, paint, felt, sculpture- literally, go crazy! Unique art forms are fun, and may even increase your chances of winning. - You may draw a headshot, multiple headshots, animations, fullbodies, scenes, anything- whatever floats your boat. - Do not use art that you have made beforehand as an entry. It must be new artwork specifically created for this event- sorry! - This one should be a no-brainer, honestly. Do NOT use art that was not created by you in any way! This includes: using bases/lineart (I should mention- even if you made it, please don't use a base; see the above rule), tracing, stealing, *heavily* referencing (including art made by me), using character/avatar/icon creators (even if you made them), and more. - You may use a photo as your background but don't say that you drew it or took the photo (unless you did). - Please do not rush me for results. I want everyone to have a chance, so the due date will be very generous (in a few months or so). However, the due date will be strict- meaning no extensions no matter what. When it's ended, it's ended. - I might upload your art to my Toyhou.se. If you have an account please tell me the username in your project description so I can give you proper credit! If you don't have a TH account, that's alright- I'll link the credit directly to your Scratch account. - Do not attempt to guilt-trip or bribe me in any way. Not cool, man. Convince me with your creations, not your words! - Do not brag excessively if you win. Do not whine or complain if you don't win. - When I am finished judging, I will make a "results" project. Please know that I will invite everyone who has entered to a studio. Don't comment saying that I shouldn't invite you to studios, you would have known if you paid attention to the rules. - I'm sorry if you think the rules or prizes are stupid or unfair, but please don't tell me about it unless you genuinely think there's a real issue. - Please don't rush me for your prizes, either.
