hey it's char ranting art my art and standards in the art community and fame by posting this i'm going to expose myself but whatever so. about one and a half months ago, I created a scratch account. Not this one. @xXAuraSkyXx yeah that's me :/ anyways, the point. The first project I posted on there, other than the welcome project, was a gift for a popular scratcher (@9rainbowtails, if you must know) I posted the link on her profile 3? times. Why are you sharing this, you ask? well, it's what happened after this that I wanted to talk about. I gained followers quickly. I ended up with ~50 in a few days Why? I made fanart, and it blew up so I blew up then, I made this account. 3 weeks ago. I posted a contest entry- in bitmap. and other random art. I purposefully didn't post fanart. And I didn't blow up. despite posting pretty good art. and being active. and this isn't to say that I'm some fame-hungry person, or I think that you need fame to be happy. It's not. but- I've seen scratchers blow up in their first days of scratch- posting a design. Or a single piece of art. and it makes me think- why not me? Why can't I be the one that blew up? because, while we all deny it, and say, 'no, I don't want fame', we all do. On some level, it feels good to be recognized. It does. Now, none of this is inherently bad. It's not. but. People use famous scratchers to get famous. and it hurts sometimes, it does when you put your soul into your art, and someone who spent 5 minutes on fanart gets fame, but you don't anyways, yeah. idk this was silly Also, a question. If I made a new acc, would you follow/check it out...? Idk, I want to start over...
