Well this might have been my favorite chapter yet! We are finally getting some character development for Brownpaw and- iS tHaT hOuNdWiNg PrOoF i SeE? Anyways, lets get started on my thoughts. Quite a few of these are random things, but I will be taking a few of them and turning them into theories. - Houndpaw is the only one who has a warrior name. Wolftalon. ( other than Brownpaw/Falconstrike ) - Brownpaw said something about " third wheel ". This is definetely Houndwing proof. - Their colors change throughout the story. First their blue, then they turn greenish. - Monarchpaw has wings - Houndpaw be tall boi - Mudstar is made out of mud - The fantasy Dovestrike looks exactly like the fantasy Dovestrike from the ToPH songs. Probably related somehow. - Monarchpaw is good at riddles Okay! Theory time! Houndpaw and Brownpaw are the only ones with warrior names. Brownpaw wanted himself to be a warrior/deputy, but why houndpaw specifically? Catterpillarpaw and Crocuspaw are still apprentices. Something else I noticed- Houndpaw and Brownpaw are the tallest. Onece again, Brownpaw would want himself to be tall, obviously, but Houndpaw? I think that Brownpaw doesn't feel jealous or compared to Houndpaw like he is to his siblings. Houndpaw doesn't pose a real " threat " to him in terms of reputation. Houndpaw is a dog, and that might have something to do with it. Houndpaw is nowhere near perfect respect from all their clanmates, but Saffronpaw and Monarchpaw are more normal. Their colors change. This could purely just be shading/artistic choice. Or it could have something to do with the mood. When they are blue, they are worried and determined. When they are green, they are frightened and in the midst of battle. The fantasy Dovestrike looks exactly like the fantasy Dovestrike from the ToPH songs. Probably related Yeah, this is related. When Ranboo shared the song project, I thought she meant one of Dovestrike's fantasies, but she could have easily been talking about Brownpaw's. @9rainbowtails Me Hope you enjoyed! :D
More talk about Houndpaw being tall and with a warrior name: Brownpaw DOES feel jealous of Houndpaw. Why? Because of the time he spends with Monarachpaw. And while this IS important, it's not as important as respect for Brownpaw. Brownpaw is insecure. And if you think about it, so is Houndpaw. For different reasons, but both want respect from their clanmates. Both of Brownpaw's siblings are confident, and have friends. Brownpaw is fine with making Houndpaw a warrior, because it helps Brownpaw to know that he isn't the only one who has these feelings. Those are just my thoughts, they may not be right. :)
