[Accepted!] THE THUMBNAIL FIXED AA YESS TY TY Hi, everyone! Welcome to my July 2021 SWC Leader application ^^ — — - Guide: 01. About Me 02. Previous Participation 03. Favourite Genres 04. July Activities 05. So Why Should You Choose Me? 06. Why I Want To Be a Leader 07. I Understand / Checklist / Finale — — - Three facts I learned during the process of making this project: 1. It would serve me well to learn to actually code, as it is a very important life skill and one that will spare me the humiliation and frustration of many hours of wasted time full of too many variables and broadcasting blocks. 2. The key to acceptable pacing depends upon sentence composition and I do not know nearly enough about this topic. 3. I really cannot trust myself to write a short story under 1000 words. Severe editing processes put aside, it seems to be pretty much impossible. Alright then hehe, moving on! ^^ My previous leader app was rather boring - so to make things more fun, I chose a more interesting (kind of?) theme this time. "Story structure" (also known as "narrative structure") is basically focused plot buildup. If you're interested and want to know more, here's a link with some pretty thorough definitions: https://blog.reedsy.com/guide/story-structure/ Basically; I wrote up a little-ish story and made my app around that ^^ I'm pained to say that I don't focus on structure very often in my stories - so this time, I actually made an effort, ehehe. It's not super obvious, but hopefully you can tell? Brrr I probably should've written up something with more plot haha xD I hope this somewhat works, though! The story is called "To What Blooms in May"; it's a little spring/rain-themed piece ^^ I've been getting a lot of thunderstorms lately - and that's the *very fascinating* backstory behind this, hehe. It's a bit deep, but I hope you enjoy! I'll probably share it in a separate project later on ^^ For now, here's a blankslate: https://blankslate.io/?note=513897 Making this app took a ridiculously long time?! Literally more than a week aaaa ^^' Mostly for writing the short story (and procrastinating, ehehe) - but still! I'm kind of proud of the design though (and despise the story a little less than usual ... progress, I suppose?). This entire thing (excluding the description) is roughly 3000 words so ... phew, glad I got it over with ^^' (It's not as ... smooth as I wanted it to be, hhh. The transition is choppy (update: I fixed this a little), the slider proportions are all wrong and the ratios for the graph are also inaccurate but shh please ignore all that xD) Navigation should be pretty self-explanatory! It's mobile-friendly, but I recommend viewing on a PC hehe ^^ Press space to mute/unmute the music. — — - Okayy that's it, I'm done rambling for today - time to get some sleep, hehe. Have fun judging apps, Hosts! hehe ^^ (But in all seriousness: thank you for all you do, I appreciate you guys so much <3) :eyes: also Honey, did you notice it hehe xD — — - Credits: - Music | "Labyrinth of Eden" by Joe Hisaishi - Fonts | "Muli", "Montserrat (Extra Light)" - Thumbnail | designed on Canva.com by me - Creators of SWC + other previous Hosts + current Hosts (Alba, Birdi, Honey, Kat, Bakie, Li) - everyone who motivated & inspired me to get this done!
