click and drag to zoom (credit to @Colorsnatch) press space or arrow keys to begin and navigate through the steps! listen to the nice music :) ——————— MY ART PROCESS IS HERE!! yes i know so many people have asked for one and i finally made it ;; this is also a dtiys entry for @/dennen14 on insta! since this is an art process NOT an art tutorial, i don't explain how i shade in depth, it's mostly what order i do stuff in (hence the title "art **process**) leave a comment if you want a specific art tutorial! ——————— 1) rough sketch / outline of what i want the piece to look like. i draw a circle for the head base and then add on the chin and the rest of the body very loosely 2) cleaned up the chin and face, drew the facial features for the character in front. also repositioned the character in the back since he's a bit shorter 3) roughly drew the bangs and front hair pieces! 4) cleaned up the bangs and added more hair details and the little bow. also started cleaning up the shoulders 5) cleaned up / added detail to the rough sketch of the body parts already drawn. also added her lil horn :] 6) moving on the the second character, cleaned up the face and added hair, hat and details. roughly sketched out the body 7) drew the pony tail and hat ornament, cleaned up and added detail to the body! 8) put the two characters back together and resized the second character a little bit to make it look more proportionate :> 9) OK KIND OF A BIG JUMP but i just added in missing details, clothing folds and pieces of hair. also added in the cherry blossom branch and glasses to the first character. line art is now done !! 10) flat colors :D 11) OKOK I KNOW IT'S ANOTHER BIG JUMP IM SORRY basically this is the finished shading and lighting for the first character! the lighting is coming from the left 12) colored the line art for the first character! i chose colors near the colors of the character to make it seem more soft 13) shading for the second character! the arm in the back is lighter because it is farther away from our pov. i added slight pink to him to create a warm glow from the light source on the left 14) added a shadow between the two characters 15) colored the line art for the second character 16) effects and "area" shadows! the shadow that is casting over them was a layer set to the blending mode "multiply" with lowered opacity. air brushing a red/pink near the edges of the shadow makes the lighting look especially nice :] to make the drawing look warmer, i also filled the whole canvas with an orange color, set the layer's blending mode to overlay, and lowered the opacity as well 17) finishing touches!!! added hair strands, colored the background and added small cherry blossom petals. there is also some air brushing around the characters to make them blend in with the scene around them ——————— watermarked the drawing and done!! i hope you guys enjoyed seeing my art process and lmk if you want more tutorials :] ——————— art - me (-mintea-, neokayii) program - ibis paint x time taken - 19 hours 14 minutes characters - meri (left), yukio (right). belong to @/dennen14 on insta! music - OMORI OST - 044 Where We Used to Play
