Hi there! I kinda want to rant about a couple things that people have said/doing on or about Scratch. I usually don't do this, but I need to get this out. Scratch "no longer being good"- I've been seeing these projects a lot lately saying that Scratch used to be a wonderful community in 2019, but then in 2020 its full of bullies, fame hungry Scratchers, and Art stealers. I am not saying this is fine, we should always strive to get rid of this, but I don't like how everyone is blaming this year. That isn't how social media works. All of those things were always on Scratch, just there were less because less people were on Scratch. The more people are on a Social Network, the more people will come. Fame haters were around, they just weren't as vocal. People stole art, but there were less people due to the smaller population. Please don't blame Scratch for now, sadly, its something we can't avoid. But that dosen't mean we should still fight back. Generic Platformers- I'm sorry, but it outrages me that people want to stop people making generic platformers. It is NOT their fault when their generic platformer gets on trending. That's the PEOPLE's fault. Everyone blames the game and the creator, but they can't get themselves on trending by their self. Honestly, it's the community's fault IF you want to blame someone. If you believe that other platformers should be trending instead, you should put in effort to find and support those, rather then forcing others to not create generic platformers. Scratch allows anyone to make anything as long as its appropriate. Many make generic platformers for fun, they never mean to steal the spotlight. Yet some generic platformer creators are even bullied for doing something they enjoy! That isn't okay. What many are saying is against what Scratch is about. And besides, even generic platform is difficult to make, we shouldn't make them the bad guys. If you don't like how so many generic platformers are on trending, put effort to supporting other platformers, but still support the generic. Their still hard to make and many are well done. "The Community has become a million times less creative."- You do realize that means your calling yourself uncreative to? Thats honestly very hurtful to many Scratchers who try their best! The Scratch community is still VERY creative, just in a different way. Open up your eyes to all of the project diversity! "Stop Leaving Scratch!"- Okay, so this is more new, but I just want to talk about it. I understand when someone leaves it's sad, but you shouldn't be selfish a try to keep people from leaving. A person's mental health, and/or real life is far more important then Scratch. There are a million good reasons why people leave Scratch, and we should respect their decision. Many leave because of bullying, so if you want to help Scratchers not leave, focus your efforts to eliminate bullies, not keep people here. Anyways, thats all. I just had to get that out there. If you read all of this, thank you.
Guys I fully agree with this and I'm remixing it to spread awareness. All words are @MythicalBookWorm's. Go remix hers if you agree
