[can be read in project] Song: Chance Thrash - Chamomile Tea (given in original project) A lot of my inspiration was from both reading and from this song - when I was small, I always thought of reading as something ethereal and magical, and I wanted to convey that through this piece :) The clouds coming out of and around the book highlight the magic of it all <3 The flowers were meant to resemble chamomiles at first, but I wanted them to glow and have more pure white to balance out the yellow of the dress For the dress, I really wanted to make something almost cottagecore-ish - something floaty and free yet relaxing to go along with the music Drew the necklace there to bring out the warm greens of the eyes :3 Also used some green w the shoes to both bring it together + add some more nature-y vibes to it all From the reference, I kind of just - took the yellow and ran with it LMAO but I wanted to let my creative side roam free instead of redrawing the outfit given hehe It was definitely a challenge drawing this - the pose alone took me so long, and the dress (and shoes! I love them) was a pain to design and redesign until I felt like it was just right hehe I also experimented with colors - I don't normally use such warm tones (esp not warm blue) and it's such a rarity to see the lack of purple and pink in my art hhh .. I love how it turned out, though <3 But -- despite all the trouble, I'm so proud of this drawing and definitely don't regret pouring my heart and soul into it !!
