I circled humanoid because he has unusually large black wings that appear and disappear with some level of control, this has allowed him to pass as a human. If he's calm (which he is most of the time because he's very hard to startle) he has full control over whether his wings appear or not, but when he's scared he sometimes freezes up and can't make them exist, and sometimes when he gets startled they pop into existence without him wanting them to.
