She brushed the empty socket with her paw gently, and grabbed the rose bouquet. She plucked roses off of their stems, and used them to cover her scars. As usual touching the scars caused most of them to open again; dripping crimson blood. But she didn’t mind. As long as she looked pretty again. She got to her eye. She picked the fullest, most unblemished rose for her eye, since it was the center of other’s attention if they ever looked at her. Like all the other scars, the wound opened up again. It hurt; but she needed to look pretty. Nothing would ever stop others from looking at her weird, but she would do whatever she could. She didn’t even know why she attacked her younger brother. Maybe she was angry that Ace had run off or killed L. She knew it was part of trying to take the throne, but L was older than both of them, and was the rightful heir to the throne. Or maybe it was because she was the rightful heir after her older brother. But she didn’t officially challenge Ace. Maybe she was too upset. But why should she be? She always knew her and her brothers would all end up slaughtered by the others or their children. But maybe she thought it would be a while longer. Their father had died unexpectedly, and Ace had challenged their grieving dad right after, so she probably just assumed that they’d had more years together.
