today i will be explaining an astrltale character named echo. astrltale is a fanmade Undertale timeline/AU that is the same, but frisk meets new characters, and there's a new story after the pacifist route. one of the new faces frisk meets is echo, the 12yr old (15 in season 2) humanoid bat monster that enjoys pranking people, and also has a rather... explosive sense of humor. he's not evil, just very hyperactive, and, like any good character, he has l o r e . so basically, before frisk freed the monsters, he HATED humans. so, he joined the royal guard (kid edition) when he was like, 10. after frisk freed the monsters, he came to like humans, but continued training in the royal guard. however his parents were killed by bounty hunters. (ask @kksysy, it'll make sense.) his mother actually survived, but he didn't find out until years later, so he became depressed... for like 1 week. he doesn't cling to things. fast forward to the surface, echo is 15 and is currently being taken care of by gaster, sans and papyrus. he also pranks them on a daily basis. they kinda hate him.
