Until age 16, when he was out on his first car drive. A drunk driver got him into a crash. Lucky for Scar, his injuries were not fatal, and he only suffered a broken leg, but he also lost his voice, and his vocal cords no longer work properly. Scar now may seem cold and stubborn,(which he is stubborn) but you just have to appeal to him since he does not trust others like he used to. He doesn't smile often because of the accident, and it hurts him to do so. It also hurts him to talk, so he uses sign language to communicate instead.
