Press "random" to get a random name. Note that the name is not first-middle-last, it generates a boy, girl, and last name every time you press it. You choose whether you want to use the boy or girl name (or both). If you're not happy with what you got then generate again. With the new update of 300 first names in each column and 800 surnames, there are over 450,000 total combinations. That's a lot of names! NOTE: To scroll through the list and browse names press stop first and it will let you scroll up and down and find names you like yourself.
UPDATE COMING SOON: The generator will no longer be just a normal name generator. I will add all kinds of names from all kinds of cultures, so you can determine your character's race before using this (or, if that's not the case, the current generator will just be called "General".) The latest update features an addition of 50 new first names for each gender and 300 new last names. I thank my brother, Tristan, the other half of ermo20, for being a Scratch genius. He did the coding, I found the names. Where I got the first names - http://www.babynamefacts.com/popularnames/girls.php#.VQYeY9YgTtQ (this link goes to girls names, you'll see a boys names database when you go there) Where I got the last names - http://names.mongabay.com/most_common_surnames.htm If I accidentally skipped some names let me know in the comments. This generator is perfect for generating a character name in a story, or if you want to name a baby a common name, this is great. Whatever the reason is, if you need a normal name, this generator works great. (Not all of these names are so normal but they're all in the top 300.) The names are in order by popularity so if you see your name, you can see how popular it is, or if you just want to know what's #1, you can do that. At least, I tried to make that the case. The name list changed between updates so it got a bit confusing, (for example "Beau" is actually #226, but was not when I added the 226th first name.) However, it is a general view. Thanks for using this! Say so in the comments if you get your own name!
