The new version of Trollge will now heads towards the player instead of taking random paths. He can also reach through walls! But only a certain distance, so watch out for thin walls!! He can fit through small places too. The old version of Trollge will often take a path more than once, he loves to make sure he fully searched an area, he can also reach through walls! Known bugs: -Old Trollge sometimes gets stuck in corners, but will eventually get out. (this wont get fixed until I get new AI) -The whole mouse counts as the finger when clicking. -Some spots Trollge can't get to -New Trollge can easily get stuck in paths

Ive been wanting a change like this for a while now, and after watching some tutorials, Ive finally done it! He will now head towards the player, but he does seem to have a glitch where he moves faster in some maps and he does get stuck more often than the older AI. Some older maps have been updated for the new AI. V.0.10.1 You can now switch from the new AI to the old AI in the settings. New music. Fixed glitch where you died instantly on library. V.0.10.2 New Trollge near music, new randomly playing sound, and 3 new songs that play during gameplay. AI was set to old by default for a little bit in this update, but quickly got changed to default to new. Random now have a longer waiting time. V.0.10.3 Added The Mines map. New overlays. V.0.10.4 2 new maps: sewers and the catacombs V.0.10.5 Finally, after over a year of no updates, there's been an update! I finally fixed a glitch in the new AI's code that I somehow hadn't caught while testing and modified it so Trollge now has a chance of getting unstuck. Trollge also now has a random chance to suddenly change direction. The 3rd AI is still being worked on, just having a bit of difficulty with it. WHAT TO EXPECT FOR FUTURE UPDATES: - New AI, more information is located in a new section below. - AI idea by : Simulates a line between Trollge and the player, if the line has walls in the way don't do anything but if there is a clear way to the player with no walls, the Trollge could chase the player. - New effect when Trollge is nearby. - Updated maps. - New maps: Hotel, Amusement Park, Zoo, City, Forest, Castle, Mall. - Different Trollge types. - Difficulties. - Map with 2 floors. - Scrolling (There is a high chance this won't be added) - Running + Stamina - Randomly generated maps. (This is unlikely, as it would be rather complicated to make) - Random visual and auditory effects: Fake Trollge, Fake Glitches, Fake Game Over, Trollge Noises, etc. - Other Characters (This probably won't happen, I don't want this becoming too complicated.) - More updates. - Sounds for 3rd and 4th AI to detect. - Hiding spots. - Trollge voices. Plans with new AI 3rd unnamed AI: - Less predictable - Each turn it takes makes it less likely to take the same turn if it finds itself back at one of its previous locations within the next 5 turns - Walking in the middle of the hallways, this new AI will walk in the middle of the hallways instead of right against the wall, however, occasionally it will walk right against the wall or right into it to "reach through" the wall - The new 3rd AI will give chase when the player is nearby and NOT blocked by a wall - Less likely to get stuck, if Trollge somehow finds itself making the same turns over and over, it will try to force itself to change directions for the next turn, if this doesn't work, it will take itself into the ground and reappear at a random specified point on the map - If Trollge finds itself blocked by a wall while giving chase it will stop giving chase (while continuing the chase event) and find an new available route to the location of where it last saw the player, if it still can't reach the player, it will stop the chase event - If the player doesn't move locations for 30 seconds Trollge will pick up the player's "scent", when this happens, Trollge will head to the location of the player, if Trollge can't reach the player then a special event will happen :) - There will be specified points on the map that Trollge will suddenly stop to check at random points if he's not chasing - If Trollge hears a sound he will head to it, if he can't get to it and it wasn't a whistle, he will give up, if it was a whistle, he will walk around the area for a bit, before moving on.
