heyo everyone, and welcome to my co-leader application! the theme for my app this session is doors, which may seem a little strange, but let me explain. doors are important - they connect the places we live, work, play, read, and exist, and they do this largely unnoticed. but some doors are really cool, and that's what i wanted to highlight in this application. i hope you enjoy exploring these doors, both real and fictional! [ r a n d o m n o t e s : + please please please let me know if there are any glitches or anything like that, and i'd love general feedback as well! thanks :)) + in case there is anyone who still doesn’t know, my username used to be @.tonksnotnymphadora. now it’s not anymore <3 + bjmnbghjmnbn this was originally going to be way cooler but then i ran out of time ;; + all of everything in this app was drawn in the car on a roadtrip, hence the bumpy lineart. but, honestly, i kinda like it :0 + you can read all of my answers here! https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/514121/ ] i n s t r u c t i o n s : + full screen recommended :) + click each door to see the answer held inside + use the arrow keys to move up and down in the longer answers + press space or click anywhere to return to the hallway + enjoy! :) t h e d o o r s : "home" - about me - this is the front door of the first place i ever called home. i choose to include it in this app because of how much the house i grew up in has influenced my life, and also because it is quite pretty. "the owl house" - previous experience - in case you've never seen the owl house, this is the door which acts as a portal between our world and where the show is set, the boiling isles. anyways, go watch the owl house, it is so good! i choose this door because i love the show it's in and, once again, it is so pretty. "empire state building" - genres - okay, i included these entirely because they look cool. these are the elevator doors in the empire state building lobby, which i haven't even been to but which i nevertheless love the look of. "the wardrobe" - excerpt - the chronicles of narnia, need i say more? once again a fictional door, once again a link between our world and a fantastical one. i included it because of my love for these books. "san giovanni" - activities in july - these doors are a little random. they are the gates of paradise at the baptistery of san giovanni and they are sculpted of bronze. anyways, they're super cool and pretty and that's why i included them. "boo" - why i should be a co - woooo pixar, aka my childhood! this theme was partially inspired by the iconic 2001 film monsters, inc., so how could i not include it? "fallingwater" - why i'd like to be a co - this is the front door to frank lloyd wright's masterpiece, fallingwater. though not the prettiest door of his houses, i included this particular door because of the affect seeing fallingwater had on my hopes and dreams for the future, specifically ones about architecture. "subway" - understanding - woah it's a subway train door :0 i chose to include this as a way to symbolize my love of travel and as a little easter egg of my first idea for this application. "rainbow" - tick boxes! - last but not least, the only door that isn't an actual door from fiction or the real world - it's just from my mind! i included it because rainbows are gay and very fun, both to draw and to look at. c r e d i t s : + me, , for all writing, coding, and most art + for creating SWC + , , , and for hosting SWC in the past + and for hosting this session + , , , and for co-hosting this session
