Click for next pic! Aight this sounded like a cool game concept so here’s a species for ya ;D Cw: I love things with treetops and vines! The concept is completely yours, you decide their significance in the game/their design and mpersonality elements. Change it however you like! ^^ Tukus (too-koos) are mischevious, lemur/squirrel-like critters that can be seen climbing around trees in forests. Their most distinctive features are their “mask” (it’s actually just part of a skull that has no fur on it) and their “Tuk! Tuk! Tuku!” Dialogue in which they had gotten their name after. They are quite small, ranging from 1-3 feet. Their fluffiness and colors can vary drastically, but tend to be inherited by their parents (by that, their fur thickness and color are genetically inherited.). They have two-clawed “hands”, in which they use to climb around trees and grab on their bark. Since they are unable to fly, they use their long legs to leap from tree to tree, and their long tail to steer in the air. Tukus have short lifespans, living about 5-7 years. Everything they eat are on trees, ranging from fruit, nuts, bugs, and their favorite... honey! They find honey absolutely irresistible, and it is common for them to get injured by bee stings when they come looking for it unprepared. Their predators tend to be larger mammals, reptiles, and birds, who snatch them from their branches or catch them when they are leaping in midair. Yet, Tukus have their own small defenses! A Tuku can fluff up their chest to make them them look bigger, and let out a high pitched “SCREEEEEEEEE” to ward off the predator. Like them, their predators are not very big, so this does tend to scare them off. Other than that, they are not hostile and have no other defense/combat mechanisms. And tend to be very friendly towards other species and each other. They live in small groups, living in the treetop in small “dens” weaved from long strands of grass. There tend to be 1-2 tukus per den, and they tend to only use them to sleep for the night. Tukus love collecting all kinds of things, and like to bring them along with them. They like sticking feathers, sticks, small bones, and pebbles on head accessories and masks. They can often be seen wearing small accessories (bracelets, necklaces, rings, hats) dropped , given, or left behind by travelers. Other info: - They are powerless - They do not glow - They can scratch with their claws, but rarely do it out of harm - They do not have poison - They make great travel buddies! - They do not have differences in physical features from gender. Although males tend to be more approachable than females (they are shy :>) Designed and written by
