Transcript + Additional Information About Thunderstorms Added: Hello residents of DinoVille. I come before you today because, well, it's my job, and also, there's a thunderstorm expected to hit us today. So be prepared. And by being smart, you will not swim in any bodies of water or else well, you might be shocked because if the lightning hits the water then all the electricity gets in the water and then shocks you and that would mean that you would have to go to the hospital and that's no fun and is painful. At the beginning of the storm you might notice that big, angry looking mass of clouds that looks like they didn't have their breakfast today. And that is because well, have you noticed how its been humid all week? Well, this causes the thunderstorm because its being humid. So the warm air will rise into the air and condense, and quickly drop its water because it is already so wet that causes your hair to get so fizzy. And that will be what causes the thunderstorm and all the angry winds and lightning. In the middle of the storm after it has already progressed a bit, we'll have just what you expect not that we have many thunderstorms around here anyways, but we will have high winds, angry looking lightning, and lots and lots of rain as we very much need around here and we may have some hail because its feeling extra angry today (just kidding, hail actually occurs because high winds up there cause the water droplets to freeze before falling) so be prepared for to have chunks of ice falling out of the sky. As for the aftermath of the storm, I do not except much because folks, we are in a desert. However, some flash flooding may occur because the dry ground can't hold all of the water that just fell out of the sky so, what does it do? It just slides down the mountain, causing flash flooding. Be sure to get out of its way because then it would look like you just went swimming in the beach but you haven't because we are in a desert. Other than that, I would go outside after the thunderstorm because, usually, desert plants take advantage of the large amount of water that just fell out to the sky and will start blooming which is a beautiful sight so check that out. Other than that I do not expect much impact in our town by the thunderstorm. The music at the end is 'Pete's Sake' by the Monkees, recorded in 1967.
