Hi! So as my irl friends probably know, Squirrelflight is my favorite character. I just love Squilf. She's a Queen and no one can convince me otherwise. Anyway, I've been getting better at character design, and I think I've finally found my art style, so I figured I'd make a ref. Now, a little info on my design process. So, I wanted to keep her fluffy tail and dark ginger-ness, and white paw and green eyes. I decided to somewhat disregard the really short limbs thing, because it shouldn't be possible considering her parents are both decently sized (I don't think... I'm not a genetics expert). I also made her tabby because she should be canonically a tabby because all ginger cats are tabby. The choices for the markings and where are a bit random, I wanted them to be cartoonish and represent Squilf's peppy, loving, sassy, spunky, and spirited personality. Also, I hope I got it across that she's beautiful, because that detail is subtly carried throughout the series. I don't have designs for Firestar and Sandstorm, but I've thought about some, and I tried to carry some of their features onto her, like Firestar's face shape and eye color, and Sandstorm's ear and eye shape. Sandstorm also has a lot of similar tabby markings. She also has a similar build to Squilf's, but Squilf has Firestar's general coloring, just more natural tones with less highlighter shades.
