Type in the characters and then hit enter or press the check to start the counting process. It normally takes less than a second to count all the characters,because it can do about 20,000 characters per second. This counter does NOT use the length function, which is why it doesn't instantly come up with an answer, and that is also why there is a limit of 1M (as of v1.1)
