This happens because when turbo mode is not activated, it will switch for every fps your computer has (you can see by holding space) and because that is faster than the fps your eyes can see, it mixes the colours and makes grey. But when you turn on turbo mode, it gets way faster than your computer's fps and it looks slower. Because it's slower your eyes no longer mix the colours and because they were used to tones of grey, they now think the colours are different. Fun fact #2: It will look like the cat is shaking. Why? Idk. Ask a neuroscientist.
